Anyone Ever Use "T56 Racing Short Shifter" From EBAY!

I was looking into a short throw just for fun. I found a cheap one I am thinking about trying. It seem to be made of good material and look sold. It actually has an adjusted piviot point its not just a phisically shorter stick.

I can't see why it would be too much different. A short-shifter is a short-shifter.

If you decide to try it, let us know how it turns out. If I wasn't losing my job I'd be the guinea pig with this one since I've been wanting to buy a short shifter for my car. Can't add mods without a job though

Looks like it will work, but you lose the ability to choose your stick separately from your shifter, and the shift action might suck ***. You'd be better off ponying up for a Pro 5.0 and a Lou's Short Stick IMO.

a wise man once uttered the words..

"you get what you pay for"

and an equally wise man elaborated...

"if it seems to good to be true...it probably isn't"

a shifter failing and falling apart and the joints is NOT my idea of a good thing in the middle of a race or traffic.

the time and materials it takes to make the stick alone...make me question the quality. let alone the rest of the unit.

I can attest to teke's knowledge of stick fabrication. He made mine, and it's very well made. I paid him $35 IIRC, and it's been totally worth it.

haha....he likes my stick....haha

sorry..had a few drinks tonite.

even with a computer aided machine, the time and materials cost more than they are asking. let alone the design work to build it.

Well the design is probably stolen from a similar shifter; which can be seen as both a good and bad thing.

Doesn't appear to have any adjustable "stops".

I think it does, the inset photo has 2 nuts and 2 long black things that are probably the set screws.

It also shows a circlip in the middle of the threaded end of the stick. I assume to keep the handle snug and prevent it from turning. I don't know if they copied that idea from another product but it seems like a clever idea.

Doh!!! That would make it hard to beat for the price.
