AC Compressor Relay

So this may be a dumb questions, but I figured to rather ask then be sory later on. I have a 95 Z28 an the ac compressor seems to constantly cycle on and off. This happens when the air is on AND when the heat is on during the winter. Its done this for almost 2 years. My question is if I pull the compressor relay during the winter (to stop the annoying "clicking" noise), will it harm anything?

Re: AC Compressor Relay

You won't get any dehumidifying of the air, which might be helpful in the winter. The compressor should not run with just the floor heat on or in the vent position. Every other position, it will.

Re: AC Compressor Relay

Ok thanks. Now im worried the clicking isnt coming from the compressor, i was sure it was. The clicking happens on any setting and any fan speed, even when its running through the floor vents. Anything i should check for first?
