about ready to give up

i have read, posted, & searched off & on for quite a while on this.

my headlights suck! at one point i was willing to go HID but that doesn't seem to be worth the $.

why do my headlights not put out good lighting? is it because of the age of my car? its a 93.

i've read where silverstars QC has dropped.

any recommendations?

Have you checked the wiring circuit for the headlights, to insure they are receiving full voltage?

A great suggestion by Injuneer. First step is always to make sure they are working properly.

After that it's on to aftermarket parts or Headlight Bulb Conversion:
DIY Sealed Beam Conversion
or
EuroLights Sealed Beam Conversion

Then you can simply replace the bulb with standard 9006 bulbs or GO HID:
DDM Tuning HID Kits (9006 Bulb)

Although its not recommended or legal in most states, you could put 65 watt low beam bulbs from www.rallylights.com , stock is 55 watts..... They are for off road use.... :)

my assumption would be check across the 2 terminals of the connector and verify you get 12VDC. anything less would show you have a problem and then its time to start hunting.
