Hello! I have a couple questions hopefully someone can help me with. About 3 weeks ago, I bought a 98 Z M6. I bought it as a project car, and its one of those scenarios when you get the car home, you realize theres a lot more wrong than originally seen the first time you saw it! Lol! But anyway, the guy said the engine was replaced 30k miles ago. It still has '98 heads with the perimeter bolt valve cover. I plugged my HPTuners into it, downloaded the map, and compared it to a stock map and its not even close. The only thing the guy said it had was an MTI lid and Granatelli MAF. The car runs real strong which is the mainly what sold me on the car. Looking at the tune, the VE table has extensive mods done to it, which would really only be done if there was a cam put in. Work was also done on the fuel injector tables. So Im wondering if there is anyway to check if it has a cam in it, and what injectors are in it? They appear to be dark blue/maybe gray. Hope that tells someone something!! I tried to scan it the other day while I was driving and it was giving me -100 for STFT and LTFT. I want to put a stock tune back on so I can dial it in and have the tune made to my standards, but dont want to run a stock tune if the injectors arent stock. Thanks in advance!
