I am trying to replace a missing Z-28 fender emblem and I can only find them in black. Mine are gold and I am wondering if this is a different part number or if they are just painted or plated.

 

I don't think they ever came gold from the factory.

 

I feel like I have seen other camaros with gold emblems but a quick google search I couldn't find any pictures. I did find a site that has gold camaro z28 emblems (http://www.carbodykits.com/1993-2002...RK-Sports.html) but I am not sure if it is the fender emblem. It doesn't give any info on size to verify it is the same as the original. Maybe they are after market but both the side and rear z28 emblems on my car are gold. Anybody else out there have gold emblems?

 

I've got Bright Yellow.... But that's definitely an aftermarket item...
