94 Z28...went out started it, zero oil pressure???

94 Z28...went out started it, zero oil pressure???
Started the Z a couple of days ago and zero oil pressure...drove fine the night before.
Removed the sender and started it...no oil came out.
Replaced the oil pump....stuck the drive shaft in the pump drive and rocked it both ways...not stripped...gears appear yo be meshing great from the crank side looking up.
???
New melling pump...still zero oil pressure.
Could the gear on the cam be free spinning?
