93-97 stock Firebird/Transam hood vents functional

before I cut the hood vents Who here has done it and does it make a difference in cooling in hot weather ....

I currently run 383 pro charger 15 pounds ....

My intercooler is mounted up front and also removed the plastic duct in front of the radiator to get direct air flow from the opening i made in front of bumper to allow air to follow from intercooler through the radiator. I found this really helps with cooling and intake temps.... So I would like to take it a step further by opening up the stock hood vents .... ( note this is not a everyday car don't have to worry about rain days .....

I cut mine out 3 yrs. ago not one problem. But I did drape the cpu and connections with a heavy black plastic. If you take your time and use black zip ties it should turn out looking good. also make sure your oil cap on the valve cover doesnt let water in.Good luck:D

Problem is T/A hood vents are in the front of the hood, as opposed to Z28 vents that are toward the back of the hood.
