'88 WS6 Formula FB Q

hi:
i am looking at an 88 formula that is supposed to have a ws6 option, has 4 wheeel disk.

what rotors will this car take?
does this mean it has a 1le brake system?

car looks nice.

would this also be a posi rear since it's a ws6?
how can i tell if it is a true ws6?
anything in the vin?
or would original build bill say it?

also:
what air filter could i use on this?
does the k&n one that fits on the tpi plenum, will that work?
are there two different tpi systems? something about a speed densitiy?
or am i better off dropping in a stock kn replacement one?

it's supposed to be a 350tpi with 87k, non t-top
pretty clean looking (just by photos so far)

thoughts?

All of the later Formulas have the WS6 suspension. The K&N that mounts to the Throttle Body will not work due to mass air on the 87-89 350.

I would recommend finding a used SLP CAI kit or making your own tube that a open element can be used on.

so, does this mean it has that 1le brake option?
or are the brake rotors standard brake rotors?

Re: '88 WS6 Formula FB Q

Unless a 1LE RPO is on the sticker they are just the standard brakes on 350 TPI cars. If your car has the Borg Warner 9 bolt the rear rotors might be different than the earlier/later 10 bolts.
