is this a 4L60e or 4L80e

hi, i got a problem, maybe i will buy a tranny, this tranny was taken off a 07 escalade and I want to know which tranny is it

If it is out of an Escalade, it is probably a 6L80. It does not look like a 4L60 type to me.

Looking at the back of it, it also looks like a 4x4 transmission because it doesn't have a tailshaft housing.

The one you posted above is not. I don't know how it can get clearer than that.

@ 6L80E I got a torque converter from www.fuddleracing.com *site sponsor* and he's local so he and I had a chat about that transmission. Very impressive from what I've heard of it. I think its slightly longer but somewhat the same size, and its a fairly bulletproof 6 speed auto that would be awesome to swap into an Fbody but doubt it would be an easy bolt in. My old job I drove 07 Escalades a LOT and man I loved that tranny and how its got an M Mode on the PRNDL
