$1000

i have 1000 to spend.....what should i buy....i can't decide between suspension, n2o, cam, or other little odds and ends.....i haven't been to the track yet so i don't know what i need but i need some input from you guys.
i also need a tune i think...so dyno tune or mail order

2000GTP 04-02-2007 11:22 AM

With your mods, a mail order tune will be more then adequate. As for the 1K to spend, you'll get alot of varied responses. If you want quick and easy power, a grand can get you a nice nitrous setup with all the extras.:D

pattracing212 04-02-2007 11:24 AM

thats what i have been thinking, but how are my 60' times gonna look with stock rear suspension

ZL1modified 04-02-2007 11:37 AM

you already have 1.6's, save up another 200.00 + shipping and get the LE1 package.. just my opinion...

pattracing212 04-02-2007 12:28 PM

i have thought about doing the le1 package but i just don't know yet. there is so much more i would need with the package. i woudl need the tune, probably a stall, and suspension to keep the car from spinning down the track. so in all actuallity i would need about 2500 for the le1 package. i just want to know what will give me the most bang for the buck. i know nitrous, but how bad am i going to spin off the line without suspension

ZL1modified 04-02-2007 12:38 PM

if you go nitrous... just get the wot kit and some nice drag radials... should put you in the ballpark... maybe more like 1100-1300... depending on you nitrous setup... i would do a 100 shot...

yea, i forgot about all the extra bs for a head and cam package...

nitrous or save for rear end

That is where tires are going to come into play. All the suspension mods in the world still won't allow you to hook until you have a sticky pair of tires out back.

but it helps ;) I got lca's and decent tires for just dd, and it helped me stop breaking the tires loose every two secons :D

Buy a stall and some drag radials... I wouldn't be suprised if you saw a bigger jump in ET with the stall and tire, than you would with a bottle on it.

In my sig, I have just about every suspension mod out back with the expection of relocation brackets. My car has tightened up quite a bit back there, but I still spin the tires like crazy and can't grip the pavement. After spending a couple thousand on suspension mods, I could have easily dropped my sixty foot times alot more with a converter and drag radials. But that stuff is soon to come as well.

Buy a nitrous kit and some stickies......then when your rear end grenades park the car unless you have two grand laying around.
