Hi,

I am in the process of installing my solid roller 383 engine in my car and need some advice on the fuel system requirments. The engine should make ~580-600chp once it is dialed in (12.1 comp, 259 267 108lsa cam, T&D shaft mounts, ported AFR 220's and accel single plane intake, 4bbl 1200cfm tb). I had the car initially dynoed with a carb to break it in and it had made 520hp on the one pull they made at the shop with no WOT tuning (undersized carb and headers as well). The engine pulls all the way to 7500rpms.

I would like to run a standard racetronix 255lph fuel pump with modfied factory lines and aftermarket regulator. I have MSD 50lb injectors and will be running FAST XFI on this combo. I would like to run 45psi of fuel pressure with this pump and lines. I also have the wiring kit from racetronix to help with the voltage issues.

The main question is: Is the 255lph pump and stock lines enough to support my engine NA?

I will be spraying this combo with a plate system but I alrady have a separate 1 gallon fuel system for the spray that I fill with C16 from my last combo.

Also, I was talking to someone that stated that your fuel pump requirements will go up NA if you use nitrous even if you have a second fuel system. This does not make sense to me but maybe someone else could shed some light on this?

Thanks,

Matt

I'll be honest I was rolling around the same question a while back. From what I have "heard" it wil be fine, but each engine is different. I know it will support 500fwhp fine.
