will headers for an 86 camaro fit my lt1?

i have two camaros, one is a 93 Z28 and the other is an 86 z28. i have removed the motor in the 86 to go through a huge build. they have dynomax mids on it and i was wondering if they would fit on my lt1 car. i know the lt1 has a "d" shaped header inlet right? so would the other headers fit and if so would i have clearence problems?

yes they will just use the o-port gaskets when you buy gaskets as i think they will seal better with those. the only problem you might have is running d-port headers on an older engine.

that really helps out alot thank you. so i will only need to buy the o- port gaskets instead of the d-port, right?

yup the o-ports are the ones you want to buy not the d-ports if you will be running those headers.

sorry your right steering shaft. haha my mistake. is there anything you can do for that? i need nearly 5.5 inches of clearence. and all i can get is around 4. is there a way i could run it like a turbo muffler? turn them backwards and on opposite sides?
