What to do with the Air pump

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the air pump. I'm going to be running a D1 and from what I've read they mount right where the air pumps sits. What are the benifits of removing it. Where do I move it if I want to keep it. I would rather keep the emission stuff just incase of a roadside inspections. But it would be nice to have a clean engine bay.

It only turns on for the first little bit when the engine is cold. I'll buy it from you.

Use it for a vac source for evac. More room is the only advantage of removing it. You could put it anywhere there is space and just run heater hose or something to extend the lines.

Roadside inspection? lol

Didn't GM have a TSB to remove the air pumps from LT1 cars because they malfunctioned?
