But how much would i spend from beginning to end doing it? I REALLLLLY dont want to use this OBDI and tunercats.... SD would be sooo much nicer..
Just ur one of the VERY FEW that have got it done on a lt1...
The MSII..has lot better resolution than MSI, and you can play with the values on the tables to add resolution where you need it, ie, cruising and stop and go, idle, and less resolution up top.
from beggining to end, i spent under $500.
Realquick-yes i did fix that miss, i put an MSD HVC 6600 box and coil on it, ran awesome till i had bearing failure in one of my turbos...so shes sitting lonely in the garage now untill i can afford some turbonetics units.
from beggining to end, i spent under $500.

So whats the run down on getting it all setup then... What needs to be done and what are the specifics for getting it all setup on the lt1? Thanks a lot man!

Oh... and right now i have a mallory 685 box.... point in keeping it?

i would keep the ignition box...your gonna need one as the VB921 ignition coil driver is not strong enough for high HP applications alone...you need its output signal to trigger some type of ignition box for a stronger spark.
for driveability purposes, the smaller your injector, the better. As duty cycle goes up, your resolution will increase. I have some driveability issues only on the highway in 6th gear, under 2k rpm...with my 160 lb/hr. injectors.
basically what you need to do is hook the signal side of your obdII crank sensor to the trigger input of the MSII. When your making the MS, make sure you build the hall sensor circuit. PM me once you get this far and ill tell you what settings to use in megatune to make it all work.

well if I find a buyer for my OBD II pcm... My OBDI conversion pcm.... my tuner cats and cables.... i will probly do it...
And on top of that everyone is telling me i will be happier with MS
You tell me the resolution of MSII... because MS can be the same.
12x12 Volumetric Efficiency (VE) and Ignition Tables
then there are TONS of add ons for the MS... just seems like the better choice at this point in time.
