I thought the same thing! It's amazing how many pin holes you can find!! I was very careful TIG welding all my primaries, and inspecting all my welds after I was done with them. If you used any MIG welds on your headers, they are pretty good leakers. I used the TIG to "Melt" the metal and stop leaks I had on the MIG welded joints (mostly on the collector).

lol... well i really didn't even touch the welder this project... Kyle did it all. Didn't need no help so I didn't give him any.

I can tig weld well, but putting something together like this would be more advanced than i could probly do (well, i could put it together, but wouldn't look like it does! haha)

Thumbs up

what size exhuast side is that, I have a HX50W, (w meaning built on wastegate), and mine is seems just, massive compared to yours?
my spec,sizes
EXHAUST A/R - 17

EXHAUST WHEEL DIAMETER - 72mm.

COMPRESSOR WHEEL DIAMETER - 61mm

What does it weigh? mine 51.65lbs

I don't think if i made my setup like yours, that the new "y" pipe would hold up with out brackets to the engine, to support the weight. The ones that I have seen at the strip are mounted to the front framing, with the engine mounted solid. (which i don't like)

What are your thoughts on this?

From our exsperiences with the flex steel'ss couplers, There life is about a 2000 hard miles. NOW that is on a 2.3ford with 36psi T04, almost always being either raced, (strip/autox/road).

On the dyno we used to run (mustang dyno), that thing wasted no time in becomeing full of leaks... just our exp.

my spec,sizes
EXHAUST A/R - 17

EXHAUST WHEEL DIAMETER - 72mm.

COMPRESSOR WHEEL DIAMETER - 61mm

On the compliment side Awesome just Awesome work, Clean, neat, nice!!!!

My compresser side is 76mm... turbo weights something like 25lbs.... We will make a support fort he turbo anyways...

As for the flex... keeps pipes from cracking and what not... and even with the fully built motor i dont see running over 16-18lbs... and this is a street car. When it was stock it did not see WOT very often..... I drive my cars pretty nice.

So i hope the flex dont become a problem.. if it does.... wont be TOO big a deal to cut it out and weld a piece of pipe in....
