supercharger mpg

Hey guys I was wondering if you could post how many miles per gallon you were getting after the supercharger install.

Please list your city, highway, year, transmission, and other powertrain mods.

Thanks

Wow so that really didn't effect your highway mileage that bad did it. I'm thinking of supercharging my lt1 but it's a daily driver and I don't really want to take away my gas mileage. Nice car btw.

If you keep out of boost it will stay virtually the same with a small 8# or less kit. I have seen approx. 1mpg loss after the charger on many installs under normal driving. I have seen a 4mpg loss with a heavy foot on a stock LT1 Z28.

Keep in mind that doubling the power will also double the fuel consumption, so everytime you stand on the throttle the mileage will take a bigger dive than when stock.

Here are my results driving to work everyday
21mpg average stock (work commute)
20mpg after 9# Procharger (work commute)
16mpg on the first tankful (playing/testing)

17mpg built 383 with same charger/pulleys (now making 6#)
15mpg with 383 & 15# pulley (making 10#)

13mpg with 383 & D1-x (pulleyed for 25# at 6600rpm)
approx 7mpg same engine testing/tuning (full tank in 115mi)

Hope this helps.

No, it didn't. You're not pulling enough rpms to add fuel for the air. Daily driver it will be fine just make sure you have the fuel system, good ignition and a good tune.

Thanks. I like my car looking stock, its a lot more fun that way. ;) :D
