STS Turbo to be CARB approved

I just talked to Rick over at STS. He answered quite a few of my questions. Also, he mentioned that he just finished speaking with CARB yesterday and will be able to market a CARB kit in 3 months... give and take R&D + bribes (fees) to CARB = a Summertime release.

This is not a pro or con thread on the product but an FYI...

I'm sure many of our questions on the product will come to answer themselves as they increase their marketshare and become road tested over time.

Thats great news for us guys living in California, not to many turbo kits have CARB, I can't think of any actually, but maybe they exsist. I can't see why he wouldn't be able to get one since it really doesn't mes with the stock equipement.

If you "break the law" and install a turbo cam at the same time, you will get better emissions. The problem is... the turbo cams are not CARB approved. LOL. Even though there is less overlap and will reduce emissions, technically we cannot install the turbo cam. Politicians... I guess that's why they make the six-digit salary but "campaign contributions"... they must know more than us..
