Spark Plug Question
Spark Plug Question
I have a 1997 TA with a PISC procharger, 8lbs boost, 42 lbs injectors.
What color are the plugs supposed to look like.
NGK TR55, gaped at .050 with a accel ignition box (300+)
My plugs are black with white on the inside. (I though white = lean, more fuel)
My fuel pressure is 81lbs at a idle. Is this too much pressure? Not really sure from here?

A picture is worth a 1,000,000 words when it comes to spark plug reading...any way to post a couple of pictures of the plugs in question???
I'm suprised that you're not seeing some spark being "blown out" with a gap that big. How much boost is the motor seeing?
81lbs of fuel pressure is definately on the high side, BUT, I suppose it depends on the tune. Typically, we run around 40 psi of fuel pressure and it is boost referenced.
