Single Turbo Guys....What exhaust.
my down pipe is 5" off the turbo, about 18" it goes into a 4" and is run through the a-arm. I have coilover conversion, and tubular kmember/a-arms so this gives me alot more room to play with. At about where the cats are located (under the pass floor pan) is a magnaflow 4" race muffler and then another 1" section of straight pipe into a turn down.
That's the exhaust I have on my car and it isn't nearly enough. I'm losing about more than 1k RPM and ~200HP because the car falls right on its face in the upper RPMS. I'll be going with a 4" oval setup.

Full 4" from the turbo with a Dynomax Race Bullet. Its actually not very loud which can be a good and a bad thing. I used ovalized pipe underneath to keep some ground clearance.
Is that Dynomax a 4" oval pipe muffler also?
i will be using a slp loud mouth. i used to have 3" true duals but i had alot of clearance issues where i live and i was often breaking mounting brackets from hitting. sadly i will be bolting on a cat for inspection day.
I'm going to try and stuff the random tech 4" oval cat where the stock ones go. I need to check the dimensions to make sure it will fit!
I run a custo m made 3" setup, it runs from the drivers side kmember straight back to the back of the tranny, does a 90 degree toward the passenger side, goes behind the tranny, another 90 degree to the back, and I have a 18" bullet, and it stops before the rear axle. The car is VERY quiet with this setup.
I plan on bolting in a off road pipe for the other 364 days a year though. I am worried about how loud the loudmouth is going to sound, but at the same time I ran open headers/y-pipe for a while.
