Riddle me this

So I've had the Vortech on for 9 years or so and I just noticed this now.

The stock opti system has one vacuum hose to the intake and one to the intake rubber elbow. I imagine this is to blow and suck air throught the opti.
You can't do that with a blown car.

I noticed my setup has both vacuum lines to the intake so both line are "pushing" air into the opti.

Will this kill an opti faster? How do you guys run the vacuum lines to the opti?

Just run the opti air inlet hose to before the supercharger, and run the vacuum hose to the manifold with a check valve, so it doesnt boost the opti (as it should be)....
The setup just draws fresh air through the opti to vent ozone, moisture, etc.

The Vortech installation manual clearly shows routing that hose to the suck side of the blower. In 95, the ruturn hose for the opti has a check valve on it from the factory. http://www.vortechengineering.com/su...0-%20GM%20Cars Page 13, paragraph H

I have the Brad Brand hard intake pipe and it doesn't have a vacuum nipple for the opti. I will have to put one on.
