Put on P600B Have some ????'s

Picked up a headunit and brackets for free from my boss. Problem is he had a shop put it on and does not know to much so i am going at this a bit blind. I put the brackets on and the headunit.

Then proceeded to the crank pulley. It seems to be a little off. Not to sure if it is my crank hub that is a bit off but the pulley is out of spec from side to side ( left to right) if I am looking at it from the drivers fender. I was thinking later and just might have to tighten the bolts to equal torque specs or to whatever is needed it get it to spin free of woobble. Is there something that I am missing.

I turned the car over and let it run for a moment only since the oil provisions are not hooked up yet. It did not throw the belt but it was an idle only short run.

Where are the hookups needed for the oil provisions on the non SC units?. He stated the drain is supposed to be on the pan. Any other way to do this besides puncturing my pan. Also where is the supply side hooking up to.

Only other problem I ran into is that the drivers side fan is close to the tensioner and might come into play when the belt is on. When I started it to see how it was I did not have the fans in place. Currently I am just driving with the belt off till I get the rest of the setup complete.

Any help on the above questions would be appreciated.

Hi, the only way to drain the P600b is to the oil pan. You will have to add a drain from the headunit to the front of the pan below the timing cover and to the drivers side a bit. (Thats where I located mine. ) As for the feed line. You can tap into it above the oil filter. There is place there you can put a fitting into for pressured oil feed to the s/c headunit. If I can I will take a picture of my engine block and post it to show you where. Dont run the unit again without oil. Those bearings on the impeller side really rip when its running. I know you were just checking out the belt set up but it wont take much at the speeds they run. Hope this was some help.. Oh, I am running the 12 rib belt set up for mine and the fans clear fine. The most I needed to do was a little clearancing on on of the cage ribs of the cooling fan. (very easy.) Good luck. Let me know if you need the pics.

The P600b kit comes with spacers and longer screws to move the fan motors in. This helps them clear a bit.

Other than that, you can cut the stock fan shroud to help it clear.

I took a look at the fans and seems that I can fabricate something pretty easily and move the radiator forward and bit more and tilt it forward more.

Since mine is a 93 the oil pressure gauge is located right above the oil filter which is where you are talking about for a feed line to the blower. So it looks like I will have to go else where for a supply or tee it off.

You could still use that area as the oil feed to the supercharger, and then relocate the pressure unit to the top of the engine behind the intake manifold. Kind of tight to get there but you could do that as well if you dont want to T the line.

The sensor on a 93 is a bit larger than on later years, that is why they placed it there. It is also nicer to have on the side there when doing a trans or other works because when you tilt the engine back it can get broken or cracked by being so close to the firewall. Thanks though

It is important to pilot the crank drive pulley. Ati uses an aluminum piece to bolt on. Or, get it machined to the correct distance by use of a straight edge on the driven pulley an measuring the crank pulley distance. Otherwise, the tensioner will be destroyed, or you may throw a belt.
