Preference for a turbo setup

I was talking with the guy who will be doing the headers for my turbo and he posed this question:

Would you prefer tubular headers or log manifolds?

A well made log header will make craploads of power, but of course, the tubular headers look better. I would say on these cars, there would be a fitment advantage to run tubular headers(which you can snake around steering columns and whatnot) over a log. It would also be cheaper to run a log over tubular headers as well.

I only ask this because he would be interested in working on either a turbo header or manifold for LT1s. He does a lot of Mustang & import turbos and does real good work. This would be several months off as well. Probably wouldn't get worked on till after my setup is complete(January/February).

Just curious.

I'd go Tubular. Are you having Bi-State do your set-up?

Having had a log, I don't ever want one again. I'm going tubular this time. Equal length.

whatever is easier to package imo

a properly sized log will make a boatload of power

if you would like a nice design look at harlan's

Yup, Ron's doing my setup. Haven't decided whether to go with a solo or dueces. We'll have to get a good luck at the car on the lift.

The log wouldn't be anything like what Turbo Tech had. I haven't seen Harlan's yet though. I'll do some searching on LS1Tech.

I found some pictures or it, but it actually looked like stock manifold.

The Turbo Tech log looks terrible. I think I've got a picture of it saved somewhere. Actually, I think it was off Bill's car.

I was just amazed that the kit went out with a log looking like that.
