new supercharger, odd problems...

I recently installed a paxton headunit/bracket for a '93 on my '96 formula. I also used the paxta-map fueler that came with it and an MSD 6BTM that I bought off a member here. Since the '93s didn't have a MAF, I've put the MAF in the pressurized side approximately 8" past a bypass valve (essentially a blow-off valve since I vent it to atmosphere). It's vented before the MAF so I don't dump metered air.

As far as tuning goes, I've pulled 3 degrees of timing from 1600 rpm on up. From there, I let the 6BTM pull an extra 1.5* per # of boost. No knock retard and it seems to run a tad bit rich.

I drove the car like this for about 200 total miles without a single problem. After a 120 mile trip (local f-body get together), the car started running PIG rich on the last 3 miles of the drive home. By the time I got home, the plugs were all fouled and need to be replaced.

Any ideas why it ran fine for 200 miles and then decided to act up? Any ideas on what the cause might be?

I'm gonna throw new plugs in tonight, and then hook the PC up to it and see what the PCM is doing, but wanted to get some input here first.

If you had the battery disconnected the pcm may have adjusted over time. Did you check for leaks around the intake piping?

Do you have a fuel pressure guage to verify the FMU is working properly? I'm not sure how the paxta-map fueler works, so that might not be an issue.

I figured it out... the paxta-map fueler (carrol superfueler) injector driver went out and held a constant 12 volts to the 3 additional injectors.

There's nothing like holding 3 30lb/hr injectors wide open spraying into the intake at all times. Definitely makes sense why she was choking on too much fuel. It was quite obvious when I cycled the ignition and fuel pressure dropped off immediately after the pump stopped running. I think the intake was holding a half gallon of gas...

You ain't kidding... It was kinda strange seeing fuel run out the throttle body ports.

I haven't gotten a response from Blower Works (previously Carrol Supercharging) regarding the injector driver yet. I hope I can replace the driver and not have to completely change my setup.
