map sensor question

As I am trying to get the tune dialed in on my car, The map sensor is one thing I keep coming back to wondering if I am having issues with it. as anything about about 15% throttle it goes to 1, is it common for a map to do that? is there anything that would create a better scenario to help the situation.

Thanks in advance for and help or suggestions.

If you put a test vacuum guage on your car and scan it at the same time it is pretty easy to see if your map sensor is working correctly.:)

car has a vacuum/boost gauge in it. so should the map not go past 1 until it at least comes out of vacuum?? a little confused here.

I don't understand what you mean by going past 1.

When your vacuum guage reads 0 or is in boost your map should be pegged out at 100 KPA or 30 inches. If vacuum reads 12 inches then MAP should read ~18inches. The sum of the two should always equal ~30inches. :)

what are you using to scan it?

in datamaster it shows you what the pressure is before you start it... whats that reading? also your not looking at that instead of the live data are you?
