LT1 Boost Customer build... again
New build for a customer... hotparts and wastegate only... customer will finish the turbo kit.
I will be building him a LT1 Boost Log Manifold T76 setup: mild steel tubing 1 3/4" primaries 2.5" pass. side log 2.5" crossover 3" driver side log 3" downpipe JGS 40mm wastegate (need to find out if he wants to dump to atmosphere or DP) He will be using a T76GTS with the following: 383ci 4 bolt (compstar crank/rods and JE pistons) AI 200cc stock castings AI custom cam T56 with Street Twin S60 tru-trac with 4.11 (bought before knowing he wanted to go FI) Goal is 700-750rwhp I will be updating the thread thru out with pics. I should have some first images by the end of the week. |
Re: LT1 Boost Customer build... again
Waiting on the pics...I'm sure it will look good as usual. The 4.11s are going to suck. I got a good deal on a 9 in with 4.30s and they suck.

Re: LT1 Boost Customer build... again
Sweet! Someday when I get sick of pulling my headers off and welding them back up, oh and not being able to have an exhaust due to turbo placement, I will have to order a hotside kit from you.

Re: LT1 Boost Customer build... again
Nothing for the moment. My work is kicking my ass with 7 days a week 16 hour days.
I was hoping to get to the last Test n tunes (tonight and next Wed) but work may stop that... :( Have any ideas what a hotside would cost that would put my T76 like this guys... http://www.taekwondoplus.org/z28/Tur...os/turbo01.jpg Where I could have a distinct narrow band in each manifold and one more spot for the wideband? I'd want the down pipe to go under the oil pan and exit down the passengerside of the car before it gets past the transmission. Right now, my kit has the intermediate pipe traversing right at the bell housing and it's the lowest part of the car. Just a ball park. BTW, I already have the 1/2" thick mild steel flanges. Two works of art I bought from a fellow on this list. :) |

Re: LT1 Boost Customer build... again
Dave,
That is the exact turbo placement of my new setup. If you are in Rochester working, feel free to stop by. Jason |
