liquid cooled hot-pipes?

i was looking at pic of a twin turbo lambo motor and theres obviously no air-air intercooler.....but it looks like theres some sort of liquid cooling that surrounds the intake piping after it leaves the turbo..........anyone seen anything like this?

either way, its an interesting setup!

I'm guessing in the first one those are a pair of custom round water/air intercoolers. Makes sense. It's that or it runs co2 through them, which isnt as likely. I see the fittings - but it looks like nothing is attached...

Dont forget that water transfers heat like 14 times faster then air - a much smaller water/air is needed compared to an air/air.

I like the twin centrifugal. The twin turbo is all colorful and IMHO rather tacky.

i assume you mean COLD side, since the hotside is where the exhaust is :-D

Anyway, those are intercoolers, just custom.

Looks like a custom version of a PWR cooler...

I've been wanting to put one of these on the car at some point, but haven't got the cash lying around to buy a kit and start the process...
