Can you give us pics? I'd like to see the front end of your Trans Am with it all installed.

Just cut it already! I would like to do a similar design to the T/A bumper as I did to my Formula bumper... just send me your bumper.

Re: Large (FMIC) ###

I have an LS1 front clip on my car and I ordered this Bumper last week, I think with what I have plan it will look killer.

BADST95 I heard you once say that your single plain bettered your LT1 intake by 70RWHP with your application. Reason be I have a LT4 intake opened for my Monoblade and the Runners were done by GTP. I am thinking about selling it and goin with a Unported Victor E intake with a Stock style Elbow since I can use my Monoblade. But I only plan to spin the motor to 6200 on my VRE 383 with Ported AFR heads, What do you think??

My engine made 80 rwhp more throughout the RPM range than a car that had a 396/AFR heads with an F1 (almost the same combo as mine... actually a "little better"). Comparing the two dyno graphs clearly showed the my car made more horsepower throughout the RPM range while both cars having identical peak power. I have seen that elbow that will allow the use of the
LT1 style throttle body and I think it will work nicely. That'll save you the expense of getting a Ford throttle body, buying new sensors, harness pig tails, and re-wiring the harness. In a mild application, you could use the stock PCM without much difficuly I would imagine. I used an Accel fuel injection manifold, had some porting done to it, removed the thermostat housing and welded it closed, and machined the intake to work with the heads. What's nice about the Accel intake manifold is that it has the fuel injector bosses already there and you can get it with the fuel rails. You can find it on www.mrgasket.com (p/n 74139). Go to the Accel fuel injection part of the web site. I didn't want to machine the heads even though it would have been easier to do so. If for some reason I wanted change my heads... it will be easier to sell them un-modified.

Yeh, I think yours looks sharp. Could you give me the dimensions of your intercooler and where to buy one?

I can't get myself to bring out the knife yet. I really like the looks of the 97 WS6 TA front end. I want it to look professional so anyone walking by would not notice it was not stock. I think some of those louvres you see on so many stock cars would look nice. I'm pretty good with fiberglass so I may end up "Macgyvering" one up.

Re: Large (FMIC) ###

I definatly reccomend the FMIC. I don't care for the look of the hacked up bumpers though. I ran an air dam duct under my bumper to direct air to the FMIC, and although I am sure it doesn't do as well as the posts above, it still keeps my air temps low.

Hey Schurters,

Where did you get all your pipeing for the intercooler? I am looking at doing pretty much the exact same as you.

Thanks,

Jerry
