Individual parts vs. Kit

I'm going to put my LT1 in a new car soon... not sure if it will be a 95 TA or a 96 Impala yet, but probably the TA.

I want to finish off my engine combo with the blower since the 9.1cr doesn't match my heads/cam too well... I figure 9 to 12 psi should pick things up.

If I buy a whole ATI kit it will be either a used P-1sc or D-1sc and I'll send the blower to be rebuilt.

But my question is..... is the kit good, or are there better parts I can get? As in, should I skip the kit and just buy better equipment separately?

I'm sure the ATI kit would be fine, but why bother if there are weak links I will want to replace anyway?

Thanks for any advice with this.
