Cash, and lots of it.

Yes, it can be done with the stock block.

I do too.

The forced induction forum of LS1tech.com is a good place to go.

Why do you want a 800hp turbo setup? I'd rather do a 9-second or 8-second turbo setup.

lt1 30 over(355)
a set of stock heads should do it, but you would need a good port job
Head studs
Stock intake ported will do, tb 52 or 58mm will be fine
PTK Gen2 with a gts76
Splayed billet caps
I would def do Billet forged crank and rods
Custom Je dished pistons to keep the comp ration at around 8.5:1 or a little lower.
Cometic head gaskets or O ringed with copper
You going to need a good fuel system like a a1000 or bigger aeromotive pump, 83# injectors should do it, but you either going to have to buy lt1 edit/converted box for the injectors or DFI.
and you going to need money and lots of it

Re: i want a 800 rwhp turbo setup

I would not bore it .030 over. .010 over or .020. You want more in the block. .030 isnt a problem, but the extra 2 cubic inches wont make a difference in power.

stroke it if you want to...

Otherwise its all been said, but I'd go with a T76GTS or perhaps larger for that much power.

And not including cost of car, I'd say set aside $20,000 for engine and such as a start. You'll probably go over that pretty quickly too.

EDIT: But it looks like you have an LS1 - so pay even more for a really well built engine, maybe aftermarket heads... but if you're getting a full engine/valvetrain done, might as well get it top to bottom all new and sell the old running complete motor to someone as a swap.

It took a 355lt4 Afr 210s comp and 2 60-1s to make 834hp and 798tq at 7200rpm with only 20psi
