Unhappy How hard to rebuild Powerdyne headunit?

Well it looks like after 51k of trouble free operation (except for the bolt that holds the pulley on falling out) that the bearing are starting to go. It's starting to make a knocking grinding kind of noise. I checked the pulley bolt and the keyway that hold the pulley and both checked out ok. So it has to be something internal. I can get bearings and new belt for $130 but how hard would it be to rebuild it myself? Anyone here done one?

I haven't performed a rebuild but I suggest you ask this question at corral.net Lots of the Mustang guys have had to rebuild a Powerdyne BD-11 head unit but most are from broken internal drive belts.

Later ... Larry S.
