F1R or F2 under '69 SS hood?
F1R or F2 under '69 SS hood?
I've built my 502 from the ground up as a blower motor, and I've installed my Hogan sheet metal intake, so its front-feed like a TPI style intake.
What I haven't been able to confirm is whether an F1R or F2 will fit under a stock SS 1969 hood (non-cowl-induction). I'm not too worried about the center (inlet) because the intake was designed for that purpose, but the F1/F2 case looks pretty big... and I won't be cutting any holes in my hood!
The only car with a similar setup that I've seen was Jody's with a D1SC, and from what I understand the inner fender needed to be cut and clearanced, which I'm ok with.
ATI can't tell me if it'll fit, and without the brackets and blower, I can measure off their diagrams but I'd be far more comfortable if someone had already installed one!
If anyone knows of an F1R or F2 on a big-block in '69, please let me know!
