extremely rich at idle, fine off idle and after
ok, i have a 3.4l with a turbo cam in it. the motor is low compression (7.9-1) and totally built for fi. i have been having a really hard time getting the ca rtoo run with the cam i have in it. it doesnt pull enough vacuum and is making the thing rich as hell. the car is speed density adn has no maf too mess with too make it lean out. there is also no companies making "chips" for them so i am sol there. any ideas on how i cna trick the map sensor into seeing more boost? btw, i have tried and afpr but it doesnt do anything since it works off vacuum.

Probably the Forced Induction Forum would be the place to enter this post...
In an N/A application, I would suspect O2's or the PCM (computer), but in a forced air w/speed density...? |
Transfering to FI.

well i figured since it was a computer problem that has nothing too do with fi the i would put it here.
anyone have advice? |
HP tuners is coming out with editing software for the 98 and up V6. Maybe you could use a newer pcm?

go with FAST along with a 3 bar map and 50 lb injectors its your only way.

I agree with Tiago, go with a FAST or DFI system and 45, 50 or 55's. If you want to go cheap, find a 95 and newer 3.8 MAF computer and harness and buy a MAF sensor. However, you will still need bigger injectors. Might be cheaper to go the FAST or DFI route.
But that just me :o Wingnut |
ok, i broke down and i am going too get a halltech f10 setup tonihgt. i guess it is my only option. now i can put the 46#'s back in.
