A different spark plug question

I read an article either in Car Craft or Hot Rod where they were advocating shortening the ground on plugs on forced induction cars because the heated end of the ground could act kind of like a glow plug on a diesel and cause detonation. Do any of you subscribe to that theory? If so, do you still run a colder plug?

Re: A different spark plug question

Yes, I've done it on colder plugs - it works fine. Now I use Champion racing plugs which already come that way.

Re: A different spark plug question

I was running projected tip long ground NGK's 2 ranges colder then stock gapped at .035 and i was losing the spark when i sprayed on top of the boost. I'm currently running a non-resistor Autolite racing plug with a non-projected tip with the short ground strap gapped at .035 and that took care of my problem. No problems with the non-resistor plug either.
