My blower exploded recently and I'm looking into getting an f1a. Its important to note my elevation, as I am sitting at 6000 ft. I had the d1sc and it was an OK blower, but with the 3.4/7.65 pulley combo I net 11 psi. I guess my head cam combo flows well, because I was surprised at only making 11 lbs. On to my more technical questions. I have SRP forged pistons, Eagle H Beam forgings, STOCK crank and ARP head and main bolt studs...How much RWHP can this motor handle? Im putting down 450 rwhp at 6000 feet..close to 600 at sea level. I want to put out around 15 psi on the twin highflows.. I will eventually add meth injection or FMIC..Which is the blower that will be the best overall choice?
Go F1A. I am at sea level, getting 14lbs out of my maxxed out P1SC. I was told by ATI that if I were to switch to a D1SC it would likely get me another 6lbs. That said....You might as well go all the way.
ok that sounds great and all, but what are the limitations of my bottom end? Its a 2 bolt main lt1 w/ ARP studs on the mains and heads, forged eagle h-beams and SRP forged pistons at 9:1 compression. How much rwhp can this handle?
How will the F1A perform when its not close to its max impellor rpm? I made 11 psi at 6000 ft with a D1SC that was around 5k rpm from its max impellor speed..I plan on running the F1A at 11psi, but how will it behave?
Ring lands aren't as beefy as some other forged pistons.
It will outperform the D1SC at all rpms due to a more efficient impellor.

97WS6Pilot is correct. You will make more power with the F1A with less boost. If you want exact boost estimates, try PM'ing Ponyhntr. He is an avid member on this forum, and he works for ATI.
D-1 for street use to me might be a better choice. We have hippy gas in Boulder.... Besides how much over 500rwhp can you use on the street... I have the same crap numbers with 450ish due stang dyno, bad gas, and 5950ft..... It still rolls though... I'm from Miami I know the loss.........
Go to bartkas on pearl and 48th-ish and get 100 it will move or 116 inside..........Also at sheradin and ralston youn can get 102 at the pump...
