crane hi-6 question

just purchased a camaro with a vortech v2 install and crane hi-6 with retard control.. i was going over the wiring with the instructions and it looks completely wrong? the only thing hooked up to the crane fireball box is the red power wire and black ground and a brown/white wire that goes into the car to the retard control... now shouldnt there be more wiring hooked up to the ignition box itself?? it has a bunch of connectors coming off of it but nothing hooked up.. on the installation instructions it shows blue, white, orange wires all supposed to be hooked up but nothing at all is..

problem i have is the guy said the car used to run great.. now i cant get it to run worth a damn could it be the ignition is not wired right? im about to just wire it like the diagram but i do not know boost at all and figured i would give a shot in here. i love sounding like an idiot so here i am. ha thanks guys

The crane Hi-6 amplifier/msd has to intercept the coil wiring and then go back to the coil. There's an adapter harness for our cars that lets you do that without cutting wires. Also the crane needs to be wired to a 2 bar map sensor which gets hooked up to the intake manifold by a rubber tube or other means so it can sense boost. Sounds like it is already wired to power and the boost retard box. Some of the wires don't get used but you need to read the instructions to see which get grounded, hooked up to 12V, etc. Also, it will work a lot better with one of crane's coils which are made for higher output.

Ok i see. Ya has the map sensor and everything hooked up and the harness that goes to the coil and then to the retard control in the car.. then one wire that goes back to the crane box itself. 3 total wires hooked to the crane box and thats it. didnt sound like enough, i read the instructions but the car had ran fine before with the same setup.. i was just seeing if this is how its hooked up and still works.
