Blower pulleys = what works?
Blower pulleys = what works?
My car is a Y-body, so it’s a 7" balancer puller. I did some quick math at the Vortech site, and:
6000 rpm, 3.125 blower puller = 46368 rpm (stock from Vortech)
6000 rpm, 2.75 blower pulley = 52960 rpm
6000 rpm, 2.65 blower pulley = 54679 rpm
Published max RPM on an S-Trim is 50000 rpm. Has anyone tried 2.75 and 2.65? Is there a point of "diminishing returns", or of "exploding impellers"?
Thanks!
