after/intercooler help

i've got a 97 SS convertible, T-trim,385, turbo 400, blah,blah,blah..

i've been looking at coolers lately, and am trying to decide what i want. considerations for me is the fact i dont want to cut up my car too much (237 of these made). I like the vortech because it is a bolt on/off. some are using the procharger sheet metal ones as well.

Anybody used both?

is the air-air much better for street driving?

seems like air/air work pretty well in hot weather...how much above ambient do you run?

and with the vortech, how much above ambient do you run?

this is a occasional week end car,,,well, i love the strip too. but i have to have driveability with this.

BTW, this is an "unfinished" project so to speak, i need this cooler, FAST, remove the crazy solid roller i put in, and get rid of the zero gap rings. This thing is never ending,,,,well, from a money point of view!!

TIA, Jeff

Another option is methanol/water injection... it cools the charge, burns clean, zero downsides..well when ya run out

And very little space taken up.
