611 rwhp 695 rwtq D-1SC w/cogs

Blue Z update...

The cog drive is on the Blue Z and tonight she dynoed 611 rwhp and 695 rwtq! We're still only at 5400 rpm for the hp readings and we're slipping the torque convertor. Looks like I'm going to have to get a better convertor. No sign of detonation or knock with 91 octane gas. I don't have a dyno sheet to post yet, but I'll get one Monday. She's looking pretty mean, but still just a dyno queen. I can't wait for spring and the chance to try her at the track.

If anyone is looking for a 12 rib setup and the LT1 bracket for the D-1SC, I've got them. I've also got a custom spacer we had machined to use with the Fluidampr...

Sounds pretty sweet. Are you running a solid roller in that motor? Also who did the cog setup, and how much of a difference did you notice as far as how quickly boost came on?

I'd be interested in seeing some pics of the setup if you have some, just shoot me a email.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to get back on the dyno before the end of the year and see if she'll hit 700

Again congrats

I had a custom steel bracket machined. I wanted to minimize any movement to help protect the S/C and crank. The cogs I got are over 2" wide and we needed to move things to get it to work. I'll post pics when I can.

My builder wants to hold off on selling the 12-rib setup until we're through testing. Sorry I offered it prematurely. Once we're completely happy with the new cog setup, I'll let the other stuff go. Hell, all you'd need is a head unit and come custom intercooler stuff to have a D-1SC.

BTW: the front mount intercooler is pretty easy on these cars if you are willing to give up the inner, steel bumper. Just throw on a $700 Spearco 5-mph bumper...

You're going to want a custom bracket with the F-1. I wouldn't even think about the stock one for that bad boy... JMO.

that may be true, but at least the stock bracket will give me a template to start making a new 1.......... going from scratch would be a major pita.

Tony-nice numbers . How much boost are you running with the cog setup? Did you get the cog setup from ASP?

RacinLT1

I am currently using the stock D1SC bracket (with spring loaded tensioner from SD Concepts) from ATI on my setup and am not having an flex issues. When you get the bracket modified by SD concepts they also send you a stiffening bracket to bolt onto you stock bracket.

Thanks for the info, does SD also have a tensioner for a cog system that you know of?

you and Rich have provided much insight to this possible option,it's of 2 things im looking at.
also what sort of heads do you have?

I am not sure if they offer a tensioner for a cog belt setup. How much boost are you trying to maked? The biggest restriction when you buy the F1 kit will be the twin intercoolers that come with the kit. I'd recommend contacting SD concepts when you are ready to buy the blower and I am sure they will work you out a deal for the blower and bracket. Tell them Arthur sent you.

I am running stock ported LT1 heads.

I'm running 14# of boost with the cogs. The max I was able to get the 12 rib setup to was 10#.

Damn Tony, your making a lot of torque! I should cog my P600B and see what it does. Supposedly, this unit is good for around 15 psi, I only see around 10 with the 12-rib. I am sure the stock fans and or stock radiator wouldn't work with the cog setup though.
