Your not going to belive what the previous owner did to my car

The car always smelled like smoke a little, I knew it when buying it and it didnt bother me. I also noticed that the spot where the ashtrey/garbage can used to be in the center console was missing, and the brackets which used to hold it where gone. Today I decided to remove the console top portion and try and clean it out since I could see some ashes were inside it, and I thought it was just because the guy had missed the ashtry or what not. So I remove it, and holy **** the entire inside of the center console is filled with cigarett buts. Near 50 of them, and there is ash all over the place. The underside of the center console and even the sides of it and the carpet inside and singed and burned. A lot of the plastic on the inside is melted and there are cigaretts everywhere.

This dumbass used the entire center consoel as an ashtrey! wtf, how can peopel be so stupid. I was boggled that hte car hadnt burned down, as it was obvious the guy was throwing burning cigaretts inside it.

Inside the console where you can see the plastic is all burned up and ash everywhere.

Outside view, as you can see there is a bag of cigaretts which I pulled out of it, the amount in that bag multiplied by 10 before I was done.

Some kind of light bulb I found which was burned/melted to ****, I dont even know where it goes...wtf..still worked tho

Some melted stuff and a view which you can see some of the cigaretts still lodged inside it and the carpet.

View of center top console where yo ucan see how the area where the trey used to be is semi-melted

Haha, I was actually wearing plastic gloves while I was taking it apart. I dont want to touch that sick **** w/ my bare hands. I took my gloves off to handle the camera so I wouldnt get crap on it. Typically I wear special clotches for doing the smallest things on my car and I get dirty as hell. Haha heck I took a shower w/ that orange grlow soap stuff after changing a trans mount.

Why not take the console out and clean the **** out, and then shampoo the carpet?

did that, those pictures were from when I initially discovered it. I ended up removing the entire center console, washing it down/scrubbing w/ soap, then taking a bucket of bleach and goign over everything again.

Is it bad that I found a spring loaded scale, with an alligator clip, that measured in grams, under my console? :blah:

I'm sure the previous owners used it to measure bags of flower...

Re: Your not going to belive what the previous owner did to my car

My dad bought a used station wagon back in 95 or 96 for my stepmother and it had those tiny facing one another seats in the far back so it could seat 8 people uncomfortably... Well the first time we drove it there was this smell and we were like eh whatever its prolly just something that was in the car before that will go away. Well it was still there months later, and the time came to use the rear seats. When we opened them up we discovered the smell, it was a pretty much all the way rotten sack of potatoes, talk about the smell when that compartment opened.
