Who has had a v-6 fbody?

I have had one and my brother had one....a few buddies have had them too.

We all agree they were fun, we ran the **** out of them and never had any engine troubles, daily drove them...... anywhere you wanted to go, hop in a nd go. When I had mine it was not uncommon for me to hear about an event a few states away, get my buddies tegether and go....no questions asked.

For being just a regulr car to drive around or do what you want to do and not worry too much about it, I'd say v-6 f-bodys are pretty good/fun to have

Well I had one to drive to work, and I did drive it most of the time but my primary was a f-150 at the time.

I have one, and I'd get another one in a heartbeat. My 3.4's been reliable as hell with only a few minor issues, even though it's getting pretty old now. You can still look good, but get decent gas mileage for long hauls. 20's in town isn't a problem for my 3.4, and 31-32 on the highway is routine as well, even in its old age. The 3.4 is slow as s**t, but the 3.8 has enough gumption that you won't hate driving it. My mom's got one and loves it. They make good DD's in my opinion.

I've had 2.5.

One was a 1994 Arctic White coupe, the other was a 1997 Quasar Blue coupe. The .5 was a 1989 2.8 RS that I owned for about a day.

Out of them all, the 1994 was the most reliable. The 1997 had an issue with the MAF and leaked oil from the pan and rear main. I let it leak for about a year before tackling that problem, but overall they were decent cars and the fun/gas mileage was a good tradeoff having to commute to school.

I have an 86' 2.8 Firebird.......not bad around town and under 50MPH.....on the highway it doesn't accelerate fast, but can get 34-36 if I cruise at 70.

I did.

I miss the normal city 23MPG I usually got Compared to the GTO's 16.

It was a fun car to drive, I wish it had a bit more HP or I had one with the 5 speed stick.

My brother is car shopping for his 1st car and I'm trying to find a nice 5 speed 3.8L

I just don't believe that...I had a 89 Firebird 2.8 that never got close to that and I was very easy on it and it had a reman engine in it with hardly any miles.

The only way it gets that good is if I only baby it to 70 and than just cruise. Stop and fill up again after a long bit of driving.

I typically only get mid 20's mixed city/highway driving

Had a '97 3.8 up until I moved here. It was a love/hate relationship. It was fun to drive, but it seemed to always have an issue of some type or another with the cooling system. Water pump, radiator, hoses -- everything ended up being replaced over the five years that I had the car. That said, I do miss driving it
