Definitely not like the old days... been a member since 97 the user name doesn't reflect it but was ZBLKHELLRZR back in the day.

This site is probably one of the few constants in life. Been here a long time...

I wish that server business hadn't lost all our old posts. It'd be interesting to see me from 20 years ago lol. Golly how much has happened since some of us joined here...

Re: Where's all the longtime members?

I didn't spend a lot of time here, but certainly have appreciated the help people here gave me over the years like Shoebox.

People alluding to another forum -- that I don't know about! I really appreciated the help here many years ago -- if anyone can suggest "the new" forum that can is more active please let me know --- I now have two f-bodies ---- one that I am about to drive cross-country to a new job, and one that I need to find a shipper for, and will undoubtedly need help and suggestions!

I'm getting old, leaving California for a dream job I've tried to get for almost nine years in the National Park Service and think I may be the oldest person BY FAR they've hired for long term (at least that I've witnessed at two parks, where 45 is max), excepting of course rehired retirees and temporary seasonal people. I spent three years on the road working seasonally at parks -- and paying an unholy amount to earn a degree -- and it was the best three years I've had since I was 35. I felt free.

And btw ----- trying to save my hands from the dreaded arthritis thing, but I've actually done MORE (read that now ALL) of my own maintenance and repair over the past few years on all our cars now that repair shops and dealers are so expensive and cars come back damaged.

Best to you all.

Re: Where's all the longtime members?

I sold my '96 SS in 2009 while being laid off in the downturn and didn't spend much time here after that. I recently purchased another just like it and have been spending more time here again.

I am still driving my swapped LT1. Still an LT1 guy, thanks in no small part to the help I got from guys like you and shoebox.
