He was an early LT1 pioneer. I knew him from the eastern f-body crew that used to operate around the DC area. We used to race together at MIR.

He was doing some great stuff with cams for LT1's and then he just disapeared from the scene. Just curious what happened to him if anyone knew.

Re: What happened to Joe Overton?

There were people on here who were whining and crying that Joe was not a registered vendor. IIRC, it was posters on here asking Joe about stuff, not Joe posting about his stuff. So he left.

Re: What happened to Joe Overton?

He made a post on ls1tech a few months ago, he has a family now from what I hear, so his priorities have shifted away from racing. I met him at a Thunder Shoot Out in '03 or '04, on the internet he may have a bit of a personality, one which I thought was cool because he never took crap but in person he was a really cool down to earth guy. It's amazing what they accomplished with that car given what they had, much like a lot of the guys running back then, they were regular folks with limited resources. Not unlimited budget race cars like now with huge shops and industry behind them.
