Suburban vs. Guardrail

http://www.kaj18.com/news/vehicle-im...ar-deer-lodge/

DEER LODGE - A Washington man received quite the wake-up call after falling asleep at the wheel on Interstate 90 near Deer Lodge.

Adam Dangerfield, 21, of Pullman, Washington, was on his way to college in Idaho on the morning of September 2 when he nodded off and impaled his vehicle on a guardrail along the right shoulder of the road.

Luckily the guardrail went through the passenger side of the Chevy Suburban and Dangerfield escaped uninjured. He had no passengers.

Montana Highway Patrol Sergeant Jason Hildenstab says he's never seen an accident quite like this one and Dangerfield was lucky to be alive. If there had been a passenger, Sgt. Hildenstab says the person would have been killed instantly.

The 21-year-old driver was cited for careless driving.

I mean sure, the guard rail won out by endurance, those things just keep coming, but you have to hand it to the suburban, it had a great start and an early lead...

Holy hell, that's nuts. Craziest thing I've seen since the BMW M6 that got ripped in half.
