Magnaflow mufflers on true duals?
 

I am wanting to get the summit x-pipe and magnaflow 4x9 mufflers and was wondering if any has this setup on an LT1 car. I am just going to dump them after the mufflers. Also just wondering if this setup is real loud and the ground clearance I will have?

i have that setup on my cammed LS1

ground clearance is pretty decent, the mufflers are the same height or maybe a little higher than the front section of my 3" xpipe...but a 2.5" setup would be great.

the mufflers quieted the exhaust down ALOT...compared to running straight pipes.

these were taken the same day, same camera position. you can hear the door chime in both...to give you an idea of the noise level.

yeah I am going to go with the 2 1/2 x-pipe. So I should be good on the ground clearance?

Thats what I'm doing (2.5" pipes with an h pipe tho.) I changed my mind about mufflers... i'm going with chambered mufflers from classicchambered.com but everyone has thier own preference on sound...

i'm curious of what you had for your exhaust when it was loud cause i like that sound. i thought u put on the 4x9 magnaflows after which made it much quieter? and what cam do you have?

OH...haha...

the nasty sounding vid is the same exhaust...LTs, 3" xpipe...with no mufflers what-so-ever.

i ran it as straight pipes for about 6 months...waiting for $$ to do the mufflers.

it sounded absolutely SICK...but in all reality it was too loud. was scared to use the throttle for fear of attracting cops. with the mufflers on it...i'm much more comfortable using the loud pedals!!

the car is still pretty loud now with the mufflers (vid is misleading)...the car still wakes my gf up when i start it in the morning outside in the driveway.

oh....read the sig...that's why it's there...it lists my cam

would you have considered any other mufflers other then the magnaflow 4x9? possibly the bullets? just curious, thats all
