Camaro superfest 2014!!
CAMARO SUPERFEST 2014 is happening on Friday-Sunday, July 4-5-6, 2014. Will YOU be there? We certainly hope so! Mark those dates on your calendar, arrange that vacation time and get ready for another year of the longest running ALL Camaro event in the USA!
Last year, in 2013, we reached another high registration count of 430 Camaros. YOU can help increase that by attending and brining your Camaro friends with you! Let's hit the 500 or even 600 Camaro mark in 2014!
Our other major goal for our event - giving to our charity! We did excellent in 2013 by reaching our goal of $5000! Let's increase that for 2014 by at least another $1000!
The BIG news to share is our Friday activity for CSF 2014 - we're returning to the high banks of Michigan International Speedway!! 4-7 parade laps and a picture of your Camaro on the start-finish line. It's always great fun and you can participate!
Our Friday night and Saturday night activities are still in the planning stages and we'll update you as we confirm our plans.
Registration for CSF-2014 should start on or near February 1st, so just watch our website and our postings on CamaroZ28.com, MiFbody.com and Camaro5.com
LAST CALL!!!- If you had your Camaro judged in 2013 and want your judging sheets, you must send us a SASE (self addressed stamped envelope) WITHIN 7 DAYS!!! As of January 2, 2014 - all sheets will be trashed! Send to us at- CSF Judging Sheets 43642 Lotus Dr Canton, MI 48188 Please make the envelope a regular #10 business size!

HELLO... we're very sorry to say that our registration opening has been delayed, due to making those final arrangements for Friday night activities! While we are 90% certain we could open registration, we want to have 100% of our activities planned and ready to inform you of those activities, even if there is not an additional cost. Please "HANG IN THERE" with us!! Our target date is now Monday, March 3!

YES, it DID happen... online registration went very well and we can report these interesting facts...
** 44 registration in 24.5 hours
** we have 5 states and Canada represented... so far! Michigan, ILL, Ind, Ohio and Kentucky, plus Ontario
** Ohio has 10, Kentucky has 5, Ind 2 and ILL 1 and Canada 1
We do have a correction to make (sorry!!) as we did receive a mailed-in registration on Monday afternoon, making it the official #1 registration received for 2014.
Congatulations to John Worbel from Canton, MI. Susie Goodrich Weeks was number 1 for online registrations, but will be #2 in actual registrations. Your number 3 registration goes to Marc Hall from Windsor, Ontario! Also registrations #4 and 5 were from "out-of-state" as in other than Michigan. So nice to see many from all over coming to our event - THANKS!!
Registrations are still coming in online, so Thanks and keep'em coming!!
And just to let you know HOW intense this has gotten... the time difference between Susie and your #3 registration was a mere 5 seconds!!! Whew!!

Check out that registration history page... 120 have registered already, in 3 short weeks!! And we already have SIX states and Canada represented! Impressive and again, Thanks!! Having that many register this early and fast, reinforces the EMCC membership and the CSF Planning Team, that we are on the right track, to giving you another exciting and great event!
We're kinda in that "holding pattern" of the event... the plans are made, registration is open and flowing, we've got a bit of a break to relax before we start on t-shirt and award designs, start the event program and other details. Whew...!

HI again!! Time for another CSF event update!
The latest registrations have been posted - we're past 150!!! We've added
two more states too. THANKS!! With April near half over, it's time for us
to get back to work. We'll be contacting 100's of businesses to get door
prizes and goodie bag stuffers. If you know of a company that would like
to promote itself, please have them contact us/me! We'll start looking at
possible award and t-shirt designs. We'll do magnetic dash plaques again
- these were a huge hit last year! We've also added another BRONZE
Sponsor - CUDA AUTOMOTIVE!! This is a local repair shop run by EMCC
member Rob Kelly, who loves to work on Camaros!
Thanks again for the many registrations... keep'em coming!! Let's hit
that 500+ mark this year!

HELLO!! It's May first and time for another CSF update. As you will see (if you click it) our registration continues to climb nicely. We are not far from 200 registrations!! Please remember... you will receive your official registration number in your "Acceptance Letter" that will be emailed (or regular mail) to you at the end of this month. That letter will also have all of the latest event news, some information on going to MIS and whatever else you will need to know. We pride ourselves as hosts, to have you as informed as possible.
We also have another new sponsor - VISIT YPSI NOW! This is the convention bureau of the City and area of Ypsilanti. They are doing great work in promoting our event and even awarded us with a grant! Please visit their website to see our event and many more great events that take place in the area.
We're hard at work now, sending letters and emails to over 225 businesses to get you door prizes and stuff for the goodie bags! We're working on the award and t-shirt designs. Starting to write the event program and Acceptance Letter and get our club members all signed-up on our work sheet, so that YOU have a great experience at our event. Well... things to do... more later!

THANKS in advance to the Michigan Firebird Club!! These are our show judges and they will also take on the classifying duties this year! They had enough volunteers to do this, so we're all set for those trying for an award!
Goodie Bag and door prize donations have started to come in! If you own or would like the company to promote themselves for very little money/effort, please email me for a copy of our DONATION letter. This outlines the many different opportunities we have available!
Silent Auctions for our charity - MS. Yes, as in years past we'll be doing 3 of these, two on Saturday and one on Sunday, and we're looking for donations! These can be ANYTHING, so long as it is NEW and not a used item. They do not have to be car related... so if you have a few new items just lying around the house, how about letting us know that you will bring them to CSF and donate them to our auctions!

OH SO COOL...!!! Check out that registration history page - 246 registered!! We have only 2 more weeks for online and pre-registration. This will shut-down on Thursday, June 26th at 12 midnight! If you do not pre-register by then... just do it at the event! Our registration is open near all weekend!! Will we tie or surpass the 271 from last year? We're oh so close...!! Get your Camaro friends to register soon!
We are downloading online registration on Thursday night and sending acceptance letters within 2 days of downloading. Again, we are currently up to date, so if you have NOT received your letter, contact us asap!
We're also still missing a few years, in order to say we have at least one of every year produced. We're looking for 1970, 1974, 1975, 1983, 1990 and 1993. If you know anyone owning these years... please convince them to attend CAMARO SUPERFEST!
Guess what?? Here is a look at the event shirt for 2014! (at least the front...)
The shirts will be royal blue, very similar to the background you see. We hope you like it as all of EMCC members feel our artist did great!! We've ordered just under 500 t-shirts, so we should have one for you! Those that pre-ordered will get theirs at Registration.
While those that have pre-registered have ALL of the latest event info, those that have not and are considering attending, especially on Friday to MIS, NEED to read the MIS instructions, tabbed on the home page of our website. We've also posted these on various forums and facebook. And while we're sharing info... here is the basic event schedule....

WOW - WOW - WOW!! More registrations have come in the last week! Enough to have us at 269 pre-registrations! That's only 2 less than what we had last year! A new record is just a few days away! Oh so cool! THANKS to everyone for registering for our event. And keep'em coming... we have ONE week of online registrations left. Online registrations end on Thursday at 12 midnight. You can still register AT the event and at the HQ hotel, per the schedule posted last week (see below). We have NO LIMITS on attending any of our activities, so come'on down!!
We've heard from Chevrolet and we'll have a Z/28, Corvette Stingray and a Chevrolet SS on display on Saturday! Thanks Chevrolet!!
Here's another reminder on MIS... PLEASE READ those instructions!!!!! They are in your acceptance letter and even on the home page of this/our website. There is VERY important information in this document that MUST be adhered to!! And remember - YES - you can meet us AT the track!! We will have a registration table set-up from 10am-11:30am ONLY!! If you show-up at 11:32am... you will NOT get in!!
Let's not forget that we also do this event with a focus on charity!! Our goal for 2014 is $6000 for the MS Foundation. We will have 3 silent auctions and we could use your help with donations for the auctions. Anything is good, as long as it's new! Just bring it with you on Saturday - thanks!!
It's our last 7-10 days to get everything ready for YOU to arrive and have the greatest Camaro time of your summer!! And rest assured, it IS coming together nicely. Tents ordered, awards, t-shirts, lots of printed materials... all the stuff that makes an event run smoothly. BUT, we do need your help with the weather... please KEEP PRAYING for good weather!!
We'll have ONE more update next weekend and then.... it's showtime!!!!!

If anyone is having an issue registering for Camaro Superfest 2014, you should try again in a few hours. One of our ISPs changed our IP address this evening which means some people might get a "Page can not be displayed" error message. We've made the necessary changes on our side to use the new IP address, but it may take up to 36 hours to propagate around the Internet. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We have just talked with our HQ hotel management, the Marriott at Eagle Crest. Here's a deal for some of you!
Our reservation deadline was Friday, June 13th in order to get the event rate of $109 per night. We figure that some of you still made reservations at our HQ hotel, after all it IS the place to be when not at the show.
For anyone that has made a reservation after that deadline, up to and including today... when you check-in, tell them you are here for Camaro Superfest, then ask about getting a reduced rate to our event rate of $109 per night! The Marriott will honor the group rate for all current event reservations.
THANKS Marriott!! We hope the extra discount will come in handy for those that qualify!!

AUCTION ITEMS AND DOOR PRIZES!!
Hello... we wanted to give everyone a "head's-up" on some of the great items we will have for auction and door prizes for CAMARO SUPERFEST 2014!
For door prizes... we are running a bit shy in total amount, so getting a door prize will be a bit of a bigger deal this year. Companies just did not send us stuff. We have NPD, Ecklers and SNL Performance Gift Certificates, t-shirts and hats, some banners, buckets with wash/wax materials, Transformers 4 movie passes and more. As in Camaro Superfest tradition, we will have a few Grand Door Prizes given away at awards on Sunday (yes, you must be present to win) and everyone gets a shot at these!! One of our new sponsors SLP has donated a cold air induction and I think we'll have at least one or two other items. To get a door prize, just listen for your car number to be called out, bring your window tag to HQ and claim your prize!
For Silent and live Auction items - All of these items have been donated, most from EMCC members! So far we have hand made quilt and a Red Wings blanket, hand made jewelry, wine baskets, Lingenfelter Performance items, signed diecast cars and much more. Something new for this years Camaro Superfest will be 3 items donated by new sponsor Monster Clutch/SNL Performance of Texas. They have donated 3 clutch packages, 2 worth $1100 and one worth $1300!! Because of their value, these 3 items will be in ALL of the silent auctions, in order to give everyone the best chance to win these wonderful donations. These clutch packages fit 4th and 5th gen Camaros. We'll also do a bit of a live auction at the awards on Sunday, we'll have a few of our Camaro Superfest signs and some more signed items. Please remember... ALL monies raised from the auctions go to our charity - MS Foundation of Michigan!!
