Yet another vibration thread
I've searched, couldn’t find my specific scenario.
Tonight, came to a stoplight, wanted to u-turn. Punched it, damn new tires didn’t break loose. Stopped abruptly, threw it in reverse, got on it a bit (cars were coming, would have made it if the tires would have came loose) car shuttered, got frantic, accidentally threw it in neutral, revved it thinking I was in drive, then shifted it to drive, rpm still up. Now at idle, cruising, high speed there's a vibration I can feel on the dead pedal, and my dash vibrates now. The transmission still shifts very strong, turning corners it doesn’t pop or click. In reverse the vibration seems to die down to almost nil. Neutral its still somewhat there. Drive, defiantly there. Fried the rear? tq converter? tranny... Give me your thoughts. Thanks Maybe that T56 swap is closer then I thought. |
Re: Yet another vibration thread
if it is less in reverse I would chech under the car to see if the exaust or something shifted and is now touching the metal floorboards under the car as it hit in drive but pulls away when the car is in reverse( engine twist )

Re: Yet another vibration thread
Checked all mounts, exhaust hangers. All good, exhaust doesnt touch anywhere on the underbody. Vibration is there in park as well as all other gears.
