Yellow wire going to A4

Yellow wire going to A4
What is the yellow wire connected to. Mine is just hanging unconnected. Could this be shy my trans isn't locking? It appears that there are 3 wires in a pigtail that connect to the trans brown, yellow and black I think, all on the driver side. Thanks!
