I have a 1994 z28. The prob just started today. My car takes off really slow then once it gets to speed it never changes gears. When u mash the gas it it goes but not like it should. I was thinking of getting a tranny tune up. Will this help. Any advice please help

 

check the codes first. sounds like trans might be in limp in mode. Won't shift and takes off very slow. Pull codes and check fluid level first. Don't spend anything yet on a tune up

 

How do I get it out of limp mode???????

 

you have to clear the codes if that is what it is. Get the codes if there is any before you clear them. You can also remove the battery terminals for 10 minutes.
