Re: What tranny cooler do i use?

I had the b&m supercooler and it didn't work right. I had the biggest one and i put it in various places in front of the radiator and right by the air dam....my tranny kept on heating up....the gauge was reading over 210....i bought a b&m hi-tek cooler...this thing is friggin awesome. It has a fan that kicks on at 160 and this thing is beefy. I mean i have 2600 in the tranny and converter so i figured why not 210 on the cooler. I have it right behind the air dam. I cut four holes in the air dam and it works beautiful. Hot days 90+....the tranny stays a little over 180. Simple to wire in too.

RED95LT1Z28, I haven't seen that cooler, do you have a link to where I can see it?

I have not had any issues from my regular SuperCooler though just curious what all would come with this other kit.

I also have a B&M Supercooler 24,000 GVW and love it. My buddy has a Hayden 1405 and he also loves his. Either will be around $50 bucks and will work just fine.

No, there are no transmission lines going to a manual, so there's no way to cool the fluid in it.

I've got a B&M 24k GVW cooler in mine, I love it.

Here's my install write up on it

What is the normal trans temp without a cooler? How many degrees does a cooler lower it?

The cheaper solution is *Two* Supercoolers, but to each his own.
