Im looking to build my own rearend possible just a 8.5 10bolt so I can claim stock still. Any tips or so that might help me? Also what is the length from end to end that I need and where can I buy the brackets that I can weld right up or do I have to use existing?

Your best bet would be to just pick up a stock 10 bolt that someone broke an axle or gears on. You could get a broken one very cheap, I've seen people give them away around here, at the most one should cost less then $100. Then just cut off the spring perches and LCA mounts etc. Remember you also have to fabricate some sort of torque arm mount as well. The easiest and strongest coversion seems to be using our stock 10 bolt axle tubes on a Mustang 8.8 center section with custom length axles. Even that's not easy conversion because again you have to fabricate a torque arm mount.

I thought about having some one make one for a while, I just recently picked up a used Moser 9" though for a great price so I gave up on that idea

I was told that you could use the stock F-body axles in the 8.8

You can, same size and same spline. I'm in the process of collecting parts for my 8.8 built. Right now I have Moser 31 spline axles, an 8.8 housing, Motive 3.90's, and a full FMS install kit. All I need is an eaton posi unit for one bad *** rear end setup. The stock f-body axles fit the 8.8 diff. and the length is perfect.
